Fun Facts about the Android OS

By now you know that the Android OS is being used by cellular phone developers of just about every stripe. You’ve already heard about how the “Google phones” are giving the other smart phones runs for their money. It is certainly true that the Google phones are becoming more and more popular. This is probably because the phones being released now are modeled after the smart phones that have become popular. This shows that Google pays attention to trends and buying practices and tries to give the public what it wants. Here are some fun facts about phones that run the Android OS that you might not already know.

Did you know that Android OS users are not as likely to pay for applications as iPhone users are? A recent study shows that about fifty percent of all iPhone users will happily pay for applications they cannot find for free. This study also shows that only one in five people who use the Android phones will buy applications. This might change as the paid application section of the Android market grows but for now, Android users are thriftier than iPhone users. It might seem overly competitive to brag about this, but Android users don’t mind.

Phones using the Android OS are starting to outsell iPhones. In six states sales of phones that run the Android operating system are outselling the iPhones by leaps and bounds. The only problem with this study is that the states that sell more Android phones are not as developed and probably don’t actually have AT&T coverage. The iPhone is currently only available through AT&T so that might have something to do with the numbers. The study might have to be redone once the iPhone is no longer exclusively linked to the AT&T service.

According to recent studies, more men use Android OS phones than women do. Actually, it looks like men are simply more likely to use any sort of smart phones than women (though the study does not say why). The study does how that the gap is smaller where the iPhone is concerned. Only a little bit more than half of the users of iPhones are men. Seventy five percent of Android OS users, on the other hand, are male. We can’t figure out why this is. Maybe this is because men seem to be a lot more likely to run out and buy new technology? The study did not say definitively why the numbers ended up the way they did.

Google phones are shrouded in as many facts as rumors. The simple fact is that Google phones (the phones that use the Android OS) are becoming more widely spread throughout the cell phone market. The Android OS is being used by cell phone developers like Motorola, Samsung and HTC. The great news is that smart phones are a lot more affordable and easier to get than they ever have been. The bad news is that, well, there doesn’t really seem to be much bad news about smart phones at all does there?

Here is My Take on What a Good Registry Program Should Have

While most people understand that a registry program cleans out the Windows registry the best ones can do so much more.  What many people do not realize is that the best registry cleaners have several other features as well.  These features will vary depending on what program you are using but we are going to cover a bit of the more common onrsres.

First we will take a look at the registry backup feature.  I know many people take this tool for granted but you should always make a backup of your registry before you install any program.   This has saved me a few times.

A great powerful tool that many of these programs have is the junk file removal program.  Every time you visit a website you are going to have all kinds of information downloaded on your computer.   Not just the cookies either.   Information such as pictures are also saved onto your computer.   Over the course of time this information can get very large and cleaning it out is a good thing. Every time you play a song, video or even open up a document that information is stored on your computer.  Even downloaded and installed programs that you deleted can still be stored in several locations on your hard drive and removing this junk file information can have a very good overall effect on your computer.

Another feature that almost every good registry cleaner program has is an auto start-up manager.  This feature alone can be well worth the cost of the program. Read any Regcure review and you can learn more about this feature.   It is a graphic user interface that allows you to easily mange what programs start when you boot your computer.   Programs like Google Desktop and Kodak Easy Share are often used but most people don’t use them every time they are on their computer.   By stopping these programs from auto starting you will save valuable system resources and stopping several programs can have a great effect on the overall performance of a computer.

Another simple to use tool is an invalid short cut removal tool.   Invalid Desktop short cut files can slow the boot of XP by up to 30 seconds. Most people do not know it but by removing all those invalid startup files you can shave off up to 30 seconds on boot up for Windows XP.   While this will not affect overall performance it’s a great little tool to use.

From more information come and check out our top registry cleaner reviews. Using a registry cleaning program and PC optimization tool is a great way to extend the life of your computer.

iPhone 3G – or is it?

Techoni Mobile Phones Australia

Well all the fuss is over. On Monday 9th June Appleannounced the release of the second generation iPhone or the so called iPhone 3G. I’ve been waiting for this for a year. At the beginning I was very excited and could not wait to get my hands on the iPhone I even pre-ordered it. I went to Apple’s web site and read about all the features it has and let me tell you the 3G iPhone sounded impressive. I have an iTouch and have already experienced the User Interface and to tell you the truth it is very nice, nothing could compare to it, but then again that’s what Apple is known for, their software.

Well it’s all perfect now that I have secured an iPhone I can not wait till 11th July. It’s been about 3 days and I couldn’t help myself but wonder if I’m making the right choice. Yes I’ve been waiting for a year and been excited about all the hype everyone was building. But I decided to do some research on my own and now I’m not very sure I want an iPhone.

Now I’ll share what I found:
